After returning from a vacation to the marshlands in the St. Andrew’s Bay area, a client sent me a few snap shots. She told me that she wished to have a painting capturing the blue sky against the golden marsh.
Marrying the sky from one photo with the little tree in the distance of the other photo, we decided to recreate the moment her camera had failed to capture. Now when she looks at her painting, she will ever be reminded of that bright, clear day and the feelings of joy and awe she and her family felt that day.
It is not just the scenery from vacations that we wish to capture and remember; we also want to hold tight to the feelings we experienced. It is my honor to recreate a sacred space, frozen in time.
